About WParts

WParts is an online marketplace for auto parts and a website builder for the businesses that sell them. Car owners find the right part by number or by VIN and order it from a seller. Repair shops, parts stores and salvage yards get a storefront on the marketplace and a website of their own, on their own domain, without writing any code.

What WParts is

The platform is three products sharing one database.

The marketplace. Buyers search by part number, by product name, or through the AI assistant: give it a VIN, and it identifies the car, shows a diagram of the relevant assembly and returns the part number. Every part number has a single page that collects every seller's offer for it, so the same part from five sellers is one page with five prices instead of five pages competing with each other. A buyer who cannot find the part can publish a part request; sellers whose catalog covers that car brand are notified and answer with offers.

Seller websites. Any seller can build a site in the browser in four steps: template, branding, sections, publish. The site goes live at your-shop.wparts.com, and a custom domain can be pointed at it, with the HTTPS certificate issued automatically. The site can show the seller's marketplace catalog, take appointments for services, collect leads into an inbox with statuses and notes, publish Google Merchant and Meta product feeds, and report its own traffic and conversion.

Secure Rooms. A private forum with end-to-end encryption for approved sellers, moderators and platform staff, used to source rare parts and coordinate directly. Encryption keys exist only in participants' browsers: the server stores ciphertext and cannot read messages, file names, or even room names.

Who it is for

  • Car owners and drivers who need one specific part and are not certain it will fit their car.
  • Repair shops that source parts for customer jobs and want a bookable website instead of a phone number in a directory.
  • Parts stores and distributors that already hold stock and need demand, not another storefront to maintain.
  • Salvage yards and used-part dealers, for whom the part number is the only reliable way a buyer can find what they have.

How it works

For buyers. Find the part number - by VIN through the assistant, or by cross-reference if you already have it. Open the part card and compare the sellers who have it. Place the order, agree the details with the seller in the order thread, track the shipment in Profile → Orders, and leave a review after delivery. If nobody has the part, publish a part request and let sellers come to you.

For sellers. Register, then apply for seller status in your profile with company details and documents. After moderation you can upload a catalog - CSV import or manual entry into folders - and take orders. The website builder does not wait for verification: you can assemble a draft site as a guest, and it moves into your account when you sign up.

What makes WParts different

Most platforms give a seller one of two things. A general marketplace gives demand but leaves the seller as an anonymous row in a list, with no address of their own. A website builder gives an address but no demand. WParts is built so that a seller gets both from one account: the marketplace listing and a site on their own domain, filled from the same catalog.

Two more differences follow from how the catalog is organised. The unit of the catalog is the part number rather than the individual offer, which is what makes price comparison possible at all. And search starts from the VIN, because a part that does not fit is worse than a part that is not found.

What it costs

Creating a site, the your-shop.wparts.com address, hosting and the SSL certificate are free. If you connect your own domain, you pay your registrar for the domain itself and nothing to WParts.

Payment and shipping terms for an order are set by each seller and shown during checkout. WParts is a technology platform for listings, requests for quotation and hosted seller sites: it is not the merchant of record for a seller's goods, does not process card payments, and does not operate payouts. The company

The platform is operated by WPARTS LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of California, United States. Registered office, phone number and agent for service of process are published on the Imprint page.

Markets and languages

The marketplace is published in English and Spanish. The Spanish version uses Mexican terminology - refacciones, not repuestos or piezas - because cross-border parts trade between the United States and Mexico is the platform's first market. The account interface is additionally available in Russian.

Shipping destinations are the seller's own: many sellers ship internationally, and the destinations and costs are stated on the product page.
